For dance music production and alot of pop/rock etc, you might find that 90% of the time one of the other listed below will create a more pleasing result. I nearly also find I need to post EQ it as well (even though it has decent EQ in it). Its also very expensive - I got it in group buy a while back, but not sure I would be inclined to buy it otherwise - its good, but not THAT good - unless you have hours and hours to invest in tweaking it. Running lots of reverb in parallel and series can get close if the reverb allows for good enough control of the first reflection (ie to make it an echo).įor just the reverb bit, there are loads of decent algorythmic reverbs around as plugins, each good for different things and suit different types of use.Īether is truly excellent - if you have enough lifetimes, though its out of box presets are a bit so so and mushy IMHO, however the integrity pack changes all that and does contain some really nicely balanced presets. Might be doable in max for live as well simply using delays and reverbs in series doesnt quite cover it. In harware, the closest Ive found is a patch I made for a TC fireworx, though other high end multi-fx boxes would be equally capable. The strength of the RV7000 is that is a combined reverb and multi-tap delay and very simple controls - TBH Ive never found a plugin that works in anywhere near such a useful combined way.
